
| The Mallard is the breed from which all breeds of domestic ducks, except the Muscovy, originate. They can fly very well and consistently hatch and raise a brood of ducklings. If you are concerned about predators, Mallards are an excellent choice as they retain many of their wild instincts and can escape most predation. Many people appreciate their lean, delicate flavored meat. Ducklings are hatched year round. |
