Fresh Duck Eggs, Balut and Salted Duck Eggs

Balut
One of our most popular duck egg products is our balut (Filipino) or hot vit long (Vietnamese). This is a duck egg that has been incubated for 16 days and removed from the incubator for boiling and consumption. It is considered a delicacy and highly nutritious.

We normally remove the eggs from the incubator on Wednesday, candle them to ensure quality, and immediately mail them. If you have a party for which you need the eggs by Friday or Saturday, the eggs should be mailed by Express mail to ensure they arrive on time. An alternative would be to remove and mail them on Tuesday but then the embryos are slightly smaller than if removed from the incubator on Wednesday. We do not cook the balut.

Salted Duck Eggs
We also sell salted duck eggs which can be shipped with the balut. We do not cook or dye the salted eggs.

Our minimum charge for eggs is $20. In addition there is a $5 charge for the special foam packaging we use for every 20 eggs ordered plus the actual postage charges. The eggs are mailed by priority mail and should arrive within 2-4 days.

We do not recommend shipping the large or jumbo eggs. If you order large or jumbo, we are not responsible for any breakage during shipment.

Fresh Duck Eggs
We have been selling fresh duck eggs for years as many people feel our duck eggs are unbeatable for baking and pastries. In addition, many of those allergic to chicken eggs can often use duck eggs instead. We would consider it prudent to consult with your physician, however, before using duck eggs if you have a severe egg allergy. Some of our fresh egg customers get a shipment on a regular basis and once they place their order, we will ship as frequently as you wish and you do not have to worry about it again.
